A deep clean covers everything in a standard clean and then keeps going: baseboards, door frames, air vents, grout, light fixtures, switch plates, and behind whatever furniture we can safely move. It is the job that resets a home rather than maintaining one.
Deep cleans take roughly one and a half to two times as long as a standard clean of the same home, because most of the work is in places a routine visit never reaches. Grout, in particular, is slow — there is no fast way to do it properly.
Book one if you have just moved in, if it has been more than six months since a professional clean, before hosting, or at the start of a recurring plan. After a deep clean, standard visits hold the line easily.

What is the difference between a deep clean and a standard clean?
A standard clean maintains a home: kitchen, bathrooms, floors, surfaces, trash. A deep clean adds everything a routine visit skips — baseboards, door frames, vents, grout, light fixtures, and behind furniture. If you can see dust in places you never normally look, you want a deep clean.
How often do I need a deep clean?
Once or twice a year for most homes, or once at the start of a recurring plan and then not again for a long while. Homes with pets, open windows onto a busy street, or a lot of soft furnishing tend toward twice.
Can you deep clean just one room?
Yes. Kitchens and bathrooms are the two most commonly booked on their own, because they hold the most grease and limescale. Tell us which rooms when you request a quote.
Will a deep clean damage older floors or fittings?
No. We use pH-neutral products on hardwood and natural stone as standard rather than as an upgrade, which matters on the original floors common in Durham and Chapel Hill. Flag anything recently refinished and we will treat it accordingly.
