The August lease cycle
Most Chapel Hill and Carrboro leases turn over within the same two weeks of August. That means a very large number of move-out cleans compete for the same handful of days, and the companies that can take them are booked weeks ahead.
If you are moving out in August, book as early as you reasonably can. We hold slots on a first-come basis and cannot create more days. A move-out clean booked in June for an August date costs the same as one booked the week before — the difference is whether it is available at all.
Faculty rentals and family homes
Outside the August rush, most of our Chapel Hill work is recurring cleaning for family homes and faculty rentals. Sabbatical lets are a recurring pattern here: a property cleaned before an arrival and again after a departure, sometimes a year apart, often arranged by someone who is not in the country.

How far in advance should I book an August move-out clean?
As early as you can, ideally several weeks. Chapel Hill and Carrboro leases nearly all turn over in the same fortnight, so demand concentrates into a few days and the available slots go quickly.
Can you clean a property while I am out of the country?
Yes. We work by lockbox or key with instructions by email, and send photographs once the job is finished. Several of our Chapel Hill clients arrange sabbatical lets this way.
